The three 20 ft sleeper trailer layouts
All three are built for temporary accommodation and include heating and air conditioning, plus power and lighting for the sleeping area.
- Shared: shared sleeping arrangements, which is the main difference from the contractor and VIP layouts.
- Contractor: a room and bed layout. Ask for the room and bed plan to judge how much privacy each occupant gets.
- VIP: adds a private bathroom and kitchenette, which is the main difference from the shared layout. It suits supervisors, inspectors and guests.
Containerized sleeper units
Containerized sleeper units are a different product from the three trailer layouts. They are container-based and suit sites where a container layout fits the delivery plan. Our sleeper modular container sleeps four to eight people.
Choosing by crew type
- Large crews on short rotations often fit the shared or contractor layouts.
- Long-stay crews often value the extra separation of a contractor layout.
- Supervisors, engineers and visiting clients are the typical fit for the VIP layout.
- Mixed groups often use more than one layout in the same camp.
Placement and site questions
- Is the pad level and firm enough for the unit, and is there room to maneuver a 20 ft trailer?
- Where will power connect, and what load does the camp need in total?
- How far are the sleeping units from restrooms and showers?
- Does anyone need an accessible route or ADA facilities?
